Avant d’entamer une conversation, assurez-vous qu’elle pourra se dérouler dans de bonnes conditions – i.e., que vous serez en mesure de vraiment écouter :
Évitez les environnements bruyants et passants type open-space, choisissez de préférence une salle de réunion ou un bureau tranquille. Voire, si vous en avez la possibilité, sortez : certains parlent et écoutent mieux en marchant.
Si vous ne pouvez dialoguer de visu, préférez le téléphone aux mails et sms, qui ne permettent pas d’entendre les intonations de la voix, très révélatrices.
Connaissez et fixez vos limites : vous ne pouvez pas écouter tout le monde tout le temps, au risque de saturer. Déterminez qui sont vos interlocuteurs prioritaires, quels sont vos temps de disponibilités et communiquez-les clairement.
Sensibilisez vos collaborateurs aux problèmes d’audition : les pertes auditives, extrêmement répandues, même à un jeune âge, passent souvent inaperçues et sont sources de multiples gênes et incompréhensions.
