Laurence Lehmann-Ortega joins Business Digest’s advisory committee!
Laurence Lehmann-Ortega, an expert in strategic innovation, has joined Business Digest’s advisory committee. As Professor of Strategy and Business Policy at HEC Paris, Laurence will contribute valuable insights into disruptive business models, like uberisation and platform systems.
Laurence Lehmann-Ortega graduated from HEC Paris in 1993 and began her career as a strategy consultant before turning towards teaching and research, obtaining her doctorate from IAE Aix en Provence. She is currently an affiliate professor in the strategy and business policy department at HEC Paris, where she teaches Strategy in the Grand Ecole’s master’s degree programs and Executive Education programs. Laurence is also academic director of HEC Paris’ Strategic Management master’s degree and of several tailor-made programs for HEC Executive Education. Laurence won the Vernimmen – BNP Paribas award in 2014 and 2016 for best affiliate professor at HEC Paris.
Laurence is particularly interested in disruptive strategies and strategic innovation, i.e. radical business model innovations, especially in mature firms. Her research today focuses on strategic innovations that address the challenges of sustainable development. Laurence has published several articles in this area in journals such as Long Range Planning, M@n@gement and the Revue Française de Gestion. She is coordinator and co-author of Strategor, a benchmark textbook on strategy, and in 2010 won the FNEGE and Ariane prize for the best SME educational case study. Laurence co-developed Odyssey 3.14: Re-invent your business model, available in paper format (published by Dunod), an app-book and MOOC.
