Jacques Neatby joins Business Digest’s advisory committee
A former executive at the world’s no. 2 testing and inspection company and now
a partner at a global boutique consultancy, Jacques Neatby brings his expertise
and practical experience in strategy, executive teams dynamics, and organizational
restructuring to our advisory committee.
Jacques began his career as a lawyer at one of Canada’s premier law firms. He was co-opted into consulting in 1994 and soon began working for Canada’s largest independent strategy consultancy (SECOR Consulting, now KPMG-Secor). There he supported industry-leading companies in North America and Europe. These companies included Bureau Veritas, the no. 2 player in the global testing and inspection industry (75 000 employees in 140 countries) who hired him to set up their corporate university and develop their flagship leadership program. He later joined the company fulltime as an executive.
In 2010, he returned to consulting, leveraging his executive experience and mediation training to become a leading expert on executive team alignment. He has notably worked as a special advisor to the management teams of the world’s leading construction materials firms. In addition to his consulting work, Jacques lectures on executive teams at HEC Paris as well as top-ranked business schools in Canada. He has published several articles on leadership and executive teams, notably for Business Digest and the Harvard Business Review site.
