How to use digital tools in a hybrid world
Emails, phone calls, social networks, videoconferences. These are the essential tools for hybrid working – provided you know how to use them correctly and at the right time.

1. First of all, think … face-to-face!
The quality of hybrid collaboration is based principally on the quality of face-to-face interactions (even if they’re rare).
- Remember that your team meetings should only be held online if in-person meetings are not possible.
- Don’t overestimate the power of videoconferences. They give the illusion of closeness and immediacy, but actually generate psychological and emotional distance between participants since a large part of the nonverbal communication found in in-person contact is lost.
- Schedule frequent in-person meetings so you can recreate a spontaneous, intuitive bond in your team. Always opt for face-to-face contact for your key meetings: quarterly reviews, rolling out important projects, etc.
