How to really concentrate
Deep concentration at work is rare, it’s even very far removed from your everyday professional life! And yet, a deep level of concentration is so efficient and satisfying that it is well worth the effort required to achieve it. Here are a few tips to help you get started.

1/ FIND YOUR NATURAL RHYTHM
Deep concentration is not a technique to follow but rather a state to be attained. To reach it, you must first reconnect with your natural rhythms and leverage them:
- Your cognitive rhythm is unique.
Some people are more alert in the morning while others do their best work in the afternoon or evening. Observe yourself and note when you find it easiest to concentrate. For the most accurate results, avoid stimulants and sedatives that mask your natural rhythm and affect cognition such as coffee, tea or cigarettes.
- Vacations can be a great time to rediscover your natural rhythms.
