2023: the year of the 4-day week?

A worldwide study has confirmed what we’ve suspected all along: everyone reaps the benefits of 4-day week – employers and employees alike! The latter would even refuse to go back to the old 5-day week or, if they did, they would ask for a huge pay rise!

So, is now the right time to make this fundamental shift? Yes, it is!

  • Following the Covid-19 pandemic, the way our working time is organized, the meaning of work and the form it should take have all been thrown into doubt. And dissatisfied employees have ended up resigning or becoming disengaged.
  • An extra day off helps people unwind, spend some time with their nearest and dearest, play some sport or pursue leisure activities: stress levels drop significantly. In fact, 60% of employees have a better life balance. No one takes the opportunity to use the extra day to do a second job.
  • Productivity rises by 25 to 30% because low value-added meetings are eliminated, and companies make better use of collaborative tools and fine-tune their processes.
  • A 4-hour week can be leveraged to attract more talent.
  • Last but not least, commuting times are cut together with related carbon emissions.

93% of the companies in the trial will not be going back to the 5-day week. Don’t miss out on this movement that is snowballing fast!
